A large investment fund manager instructed us to undertake a refurbishment of an industrial building.
We produced a full specification and obtained competitive tenders, which were carefully reviewed before the contractor was appointed. We managed the entire build, including direct client orders through to Practical Completion.
Works included realignment of the asbestos guttering, replacement of roof lights within the asbestos roof sheets, external redecoration and replacement of concertina goods doors with new fast-acting doors.
One of our key concerns was ensuring the refurbishment work was completed with minimum disruption to the current tenant whilst they were in occupation. Equally, safe handling of the asbestos elements whilst building work was underway was vital.
