The Party Wall etc. Act 1996 imposes duties upon those with an interest in a building to notify their neighbour(s) of their intention to carry out works that may affect the adjoining owner.

It’s important to have a Party Wall surveyor assess the proposed works with respect to the Act and the Land and Structures belonging to an adjoining owner to ensure the proposed works are feasible and the correct notices are served upon all affected adjoining owners.

We act for the Building Owner (the person undertaking the building works) and also Adjoining Owners (persons affected by the Building Owners works).
