Sheffield business Inform Surveying and leading national car rental company Enterprise have teamed up to raise money for Bluebell Wood Children’s Hospice, a charity caring for children and young adults across South Yorkshire, North Derbyshire, North Nottinghamshire and parts of North Lincolnshire.

Enterprise Rent a Car is an international, privately owned family business. Their charitable arm, Enterprise Holdings Foundation, created in 1982 by their founder Jack Taylor, is committed to supporting the people who live in the communities where they operate – nationally and internationally.

Donating in excess of £250 million to thousands of local not-for-profits since its inception, Peter Cummins, Group Facilities and Construction Manager at Enterprise was tasked with identifying partners in his Northern area who the Foundation could support for the coming year.

Peter approached the team at Inform Surveying, who have worked closely with the Property team at Enterprise for several years. Gavin Sampson, Director at Inform Surveying did not hesitate. He said,

“We have supported Bluebell Wood for the past two years and it made absolute sense to nominate them. The opportunity to team up with the Enterprise Foundation will have a significant impact on the day-to-day support the charity offers.

“We were delighted to be shown around the hospice. It was a privilege to see the staff and volunteers in action and how the great facilities help the children and their families.”

Peter Cummins at Enterprise added: “We have a great relationship with the guys at Inform and were delighted to support such a fantastic organisation.”

“We were quite overwhelmed listening to the story of how Bluebell Wood began and how far they’ve come in 10 years.

“Whether it’s helping families by providing respite care or short breaks or offering counselling support after a bereavement – it’s all vital work. We are absolutely delighted to have helped in a small way.”

Director Steven Taylor continued: “As parents of young children, it’s not difficult to see why the services offered by the team at Bluebell Wood are so important.

“We were so affected by our visit; we’ve decided to make Bluebell Wood our charity for the year. Quite apart from aiming to undertake fundraising events throughout 2019-20, we’ve decided to donate 1% of this year’s profits to the charity. We want to make as big a difference as we can!“

Accepting the cheque for £1,000 on behalf of Bluebell Woods, Head of Fundraising Helen Mower said, “We can’t thank the Enterprise Foundation and the team at Inform Surveying enough. Every donation makes a difference to the families at a very difficult time, making their lives a little more bearable.”
